Talpex Mole Trap, with Video Instructions
Our Talpex Mole Trap is the original genuine item made in the Netherlands, and they are much copied. As with many other types of traps most of the copies are vastly inferior or indeed useless. If you look at the image you can see the stamp on the tongue of the trap denoting it is a genuine Talpex from the Netherlands.
The Talpex is an excellent all round trap unless you have stony ground, in which case you may need to sieve the soil with your fingers or a garden riddle to remove the stones. We mainly use this trap for moles that will not push a tunnel trap trigger loop which is blocking their run. Fortunately this is not a common occurrence but moles can become trap shy and the Talpex solves that problem. However there is no reason you cannot use it as a main trap, and many people do. Many of our customers buy a few tunnel traps and one Talpex trap for that specially tricky mole.
An online video lasting a few minutes shows you exactly how to arm and install the trap.
You can of course buy cheaper traps. Many will have weak springs, cheap metal and poor design. Some of them come with large setting handles on top, which are totally unnecessary as these traps are easy to set once you know how!

Feedback
As you may like to have some feedback, I am delighted to tell you that my first attempt to catch the mole busy burrowing through our lawn was successful. I set two traps, following your excellent instructions to the letter, and that was it. It may have been just beginners luck but at the moment I am pleased to say there are no more tell tale mounds so I will have to wait and see until the next time to see if I’ve got things right. I am sure those pesky critturs will be back later in the year.
Anyway thank you again for your first class recommended product and your excellent “down to earth” video instructions. They have already saved me Sixty pounds.
